 Moving on to Chapter two in "Essentials of Social Media Marketing." Chapter two talks about what is a personal brand, which is your reputation and the combination of your personal attributes that differentiate you from others. Also, gives you steps on how to make your personal brand. In the first step, the author talks about identifying your target audience, and by doing this you want to identify common keywords from your career search and write them down. When you are completing your worksheet make sure to keep your target audience in mind, determining which of your unique talents aligns with what they will be looking for. Step two talks about determining your vision and purpose. What they mean by this is picturing your true self in the future for your personal vision and for your purpose, is how you will make your vision happen. Step three is about determining your values. Your values are the core principles that give meaning to your life to use in your brand. Step four is

A week ago, I came back early for track, but I can tell you it was weird but nice to be back on campus before everyone else came back to campus. Then a week later class started, my first day back for the second semester at Ohio Northern University was kind of overwhelming from a month break to rolling into the next semester. I have to say my professors wasted no time to start their classes. Right off the back, they had me doing assignments that were literally due next week! But that is not even the most overwhelming thing that happen that week. What made my week was not being able to buy my books. You might say buying your books for class should be easy, well your wrong. I tried buying my books probably three times online and it failed because the server wasn't working so I had to walk to the ONU Bookstore to see if they could help me. Time to learn about Social Media Marketing: Chapter 1

     Today, I started reading a book called Essentials of Social Media Marketing for my Principles of Social Media class. The first chapter discusses the evolution of social media. Reading through the chapter I learned that people spend a lot more time on social media which has surpassed the time of watching TV. I was surprised that by the beginning of 2021, the total number of active social media users reached about 4.2 billion which is representing over 53.6% of the world's population. This means that social media is still growing and people's time is spent on social platforms. Wherever I go I see people on their phones either talking, texting, or even on their social media.  Furthermore, something that I found interesting is that some people between the ages of 18-44 state that they can not recall the last time they have misplaced their phone. From the chapter,  the average user spends 2 hours 25 mins each day on social media which is approximately equivalent to one walking
