Time to learn about Social Media Marketing: Chapter 2

 Moving on to Chapter two in "Essentials of Social Media Marketing." Chapter two talks about what is a personal brand, which is your reputation and the combination of your personal attributes that differentiate you from others. Also, gives you steps on how to make your personal brand. In the first step, the author talks about identifying your target audience, and by doing this you want to identify common keywords from your career search and write them down. When you are completing your worksheet make sure to keep your target audience in mind, determining which of your unique talents aligns with what they will be looking for. Step two talks about determining your vision and purpose. What they mean by this is picturing your true self in the future for your personal vision and for your purpose, is how you will make your vision happen. Step three is about determining your values. Your values are the core principles that give meaning to your life to use in your brand. Step four is determining your passions. Your passions are what intrigue and motivate you in determining how you want to spend your time. Step five is about your goals and how you would like to achieve them. Step six is talking about your personal brand attributes which means the words you would use to define your personality or the value that you offer. Step seven is determining your strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats (SWOT) by using this analysis it is a helpful personal branding exercise that can help you prepare for your next job or future career growth. Step eight is identifying who your competition is in the marketplace and what differentiates you from them. In the last step, with your personal brand identify three words that best describe you. Overall, following these steps will help your personal brand and help you to communicate your unique attributes to others.
