Time to learn about Social Media Marketing: Chapter 3

    In Chapter 3 in "Essentials of Social Media Marketing" I learned that there is a social media advertising strategy that it's like the social media marketing strategy but it's a little different. With using the social media advertising strategy companies must have a proper advertising strategy in place to ensure they are effectively targeting the right customers, using the right content, deploying the right ad type, and spending the right amount of money. The first step is about selecting goals, these goals should tie into the overall social media goals of the company and will dictate the campaign objective used when placing social media ads. The second step is selecting the target market when considering targeting people they need to include demographic, interest, and behavior data for the target market when creating the ad. The third step is to select your platforms, consider the target market and the way the target market interacts on each platform. The fourth step is selecting a budget. The fifth step is about selecting the ad format, I learned that you should take your time to research and understand the benefits of each ad format before deploying an ad. The sixth step is considering the ad funnel, which is the action stage by retargeting customers with new content based on an action they took on a previous ad. Lastly, developing your content, for this it's time to use your assets for the advertisements that you will create like videos, text, images, etc. Overall, I think this strategy helps me understand how to use the social media advertising strategy when preparing to advertise something on social media.
