Time to learn about Social Media Marketing: Chapter 9

In Chapter 9 in "Essentials of Social Media Marketing," I learned how you can have different pages on LinkedIn. Some different pages that LinkedIn has is a company page, showcase page, product page, career page and my company. The company page is the first place where users will visit to learn about and interact with a company. The LinkedIn Company Page is a great way to build brand awareness, engage with employees and customers, foster engagement, and attract and interact with a target audience. With that company pages they give you detailed analytics which include follower demographics and sources, reach engagement metrics for posts, page traffic, page views, unique visitors, page clicks, and job views, and number of job applications. With using the LinkedIn Company Page it like they have a few cool gadgets to use. The next page that I learned about is the showcase page which allows brands to create pages to promote specific business lines, products or company initiatives. Another page that I thought was interesting too, was the LinkedIn Product Page which allows companies to post product descriptions, photos, and videos as well as gather customer reviews and product endorsements. The showcase page and the product page goes well hand to hand with each other to help businesses promote their brands and to interact with their customers. The LinkedIn Career Page is embedded within a company page which allows companies to highlight job opportunities to potential candidates which I think is pretty cool! How the target the right candidate for the job is based on interests, location, and their current job titles. Also, the career pages provide candidates with authentic views in to the culture of a company through videos, photos and custom messaging on the page. Lastly, LinkedIn introduce a new page called "My Company," it is a tab an employee-only space for employees to stay connected, engage with each other and celebrate accomplishments. In fact, LinkedIn reports that employees are 60% more likely to engage with posts from coworkers, and 14 times more likely to share their organization's page content. I think that percentage is crazy! Overall, I think I learned a few more things about LinkedIn than I did before and I am excited to use it one day to look for a job and to use it more!
