Movie Review: Haunted Mansion

Have you heard about the movie called Haunted Mansion? Of course, I mean the new film! I told my mom that I think the newer movie of The Haunted Mansion is better than the old one. I have probably rewatched the movie about five times already.

To give you a short recap on what the movie is about a single mom named Gabbie with a son named Trevor. She buys a new house and soon finds out it is inhabited by a bunch of ghosts, so she hires a tour guide, a priest, a psychic, and a historian to exorcise her house. The movie is a great mixture of spooky, funny, and family-friendly.

I loved the storyline of the movie starting off the movie with the tour guide named Ben. He loses his wife due to her getting in a car accident throughout the whole movie and talks about wanting to see her again so tries everything in the movie so he can apologize for not being there for her.

Each person in the movie is dealing with some difficulty but you can tell that each person in the movie cares about each other. In the movie, they are all working together to defeat the main ghost who is very mean to the other ghosts and very evil. They work together to figure out how to get rid of him and free the other ghosts, so they are not being bullied by him.

SPOILER ALERT! They ended up defeating the evil ghost and Gabbie was able to buy the house and fall in love with Ben, Trevor is excited to have him join his family. The ghosts at the end can be seen enjoying their time with the heroes dancing and eating at the dinner table, not having to worry about the evil ghost coming back.

  1. I just finished watching this earlier today! It was a great comfort movie and I loved the overall theme of loving one another simply being human. I am totally rewatching it later this month.
